The Red River Gorge and National Forest Trails are currently open to the public. Social gatherings are limited to no more than 10 people. Our Search and Rescue Team Members are volunteers, and appreciate all of the support you have shown them through the years. Please continue to be safe.
Most cabin owners and hotel/motels near the area are open and are diligently following the health and safety regulations set by our state.
Restaurants are open indoors at 25%, outdoor seating is available with spacing of 6 feet. Call ahead and carry out is a great way to minimize wait and have your own private picnic in the woods. Bars are closed, however several restaurants do offer drinks.
Face Coverings are required in all indoor areas and in outdoor areas where social distancing of 6 feet is not feasible.
Please make yourself aware of individual restaurant requirements. Some ask that you wait in the car for personal delivery to keep in compliance with local distancing rules.
We hope you will continue to come and run here and bring your family to visit the Gorge anytime. It’s a magical place to be.
NADA TUNNEL VIRTUAL 8K….NO STOPPING ME COVID-19! SHIRTS WILL BE SHIPPED BY AUGUST 30th.
RUGGED RED VIRTUAL TRAIL HALF MARATHON…..You can still sign up and do your trail half marathon here or anywhere you feel safe. You can even split it up. Go to runsignup.com for any registration questions. You need to complete your run by mid-October. Shirts/Medals will be shipped in November. You don’t have to break your trend of running in the Red River Gorge and you can still get your medal if you challenge yourself by running in a place closer to home where you feel safe. COVID 19 Hurts but the Rugged Red and You must go on.
